The Joy of Skating

A year of Covid and self isolation meant the world of skating exploded. Manufacturers were struggling with the demand. Getting my skates introduced me to a diverse, fun, ageless community that I felt needed documenting.

So with my mic in hand and beautiful yellow quads on my feet, I joined the legions of women who skate in car parks and community halls. I absolutely loved the night skate with street skater Anchovy who risks her safety to simply feel ‘free.’
