The Journey of a Vintage Dress

I love vintage. I love dresses. I love radio. My first ever story for BBC Radio 4.

I bought a dress, looked at the label, googled it and discovered the family run fashion house was still in existence in North London. It was established in 1900. They still had a seamstress working for them who remembered the dress and the pattern cutter’s daughter who explained the design. I’d bought it on Esty from a women living in Graz, who had bought it from a woman in France.

The dress had been on a journey and so I gladly took it back to where it all started.
