Be careful what you say

I was asked to be part of a panel to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The consensus was we need more role models.

A few weeks later, I was in Camden again - just chilling in a cafe and having tea with a friend.

A woman came up to me and said are you Ena?

She told me she was in the audience when I spoke and what I said helped her make a decision.

She quit her job.

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! Oh nooooo!!!!!

That wasn’t my plan when I said what I said. But it’s been a while since I’ve actually read the article and maybe I was right. And maybe this women was right to leave her job and go somewhere that recognised her talents.

I hope she’s thriving.
