New laws affecting traveller women
Members of the Romany Gypsy and Irish Traveller communities were intending to demonstrate in London to protest at new planning laws which they say are eroding their traditional way of life. The men tend to travel for work, the women stay onsite. This means the law affects women differently.
Ryalla Duffy is a Romany Gypsy who lives in Lincoln. She let me spend the day with her and her family to talk about the impact the new laws would have on traveller women.
