The Best Place to be a Woman

BBC Woman’s Hour conducted research to find out the best place in the UK to be a woman.

The top spot went to East Dunbartonshire in Glasgow.

Across the road (so to speak) West Dunbartonshire found itself near the bottom of the list.

But how does where you live shape your life for better or worse? How important is education, housing, environment and culture? Why do two areas bordering each other have such huge differences?

We asked two women who live in each area to spend the day together. They visited each others homes and discuss the differences in their lives.
